IEP Arandjelovac began to work on April 1954. It was meant to produce low voltage and high voltage lines insulators, that were, from this point of view, relatively simple products.

Development of electric power system and manufacturing of electrical apparatus and plants, together with increased demands from both domestic and foreign buyers, caused the constant expansion of capacities and production programm, i.e. conquest of new products with high technology characteristics.
With its own experts and technology "Elektroporcelan" Factory has managed to expend its production programm to more than 2 000 different products.
Due to such an intensive development, especially to new products made of steatite and cordierite, "Elektroporcelan" Factory changed into "Elektroporcelan" Industry in 1963, with two separate factories: Factory of apparatus and lines porcelain and Factory of fuse elements and house wiring devices.

It's the biggest domestic supplier and producer in its domain, covering approximately 60% of total production in Yugoslavia. "Elektroporcelan" provides insulators for all the projects that are applied on the electric power system in the country. Its participation in building the 380 kW network "Nikola Tesla" is of great significance.

"Elektroporcelan" has exhibited its products on domestic and international exhibitions and fairs. This company was awarded many times for its business successes, and it has received some of the highest national prizes for its business results, including The Economic Council Prize.

Export is one of the most important strategic characteristics of the economic policy. Such an orientation dates back to 1956, when first insulators were delivered abroad (Turkey), and during the last 35 years "Elektroporcelan" gained great respect on the international market. It exports its products to 70 countries worldwide.
